Before Fire, There Was Water

A photographic exhibition exploring the elemental and sacred nature of water.

 

Developed through time spent in ceremony in the sacred water temples of Chavín, Peru, this work is informed by teachings from Cecilia Wanqura, Elder and Guardian of ancient Andean knowledge. These teachings speak to water as the origin of life — a living force of creation, energy and transformation.

The images explore the mysterious and shifting qualities of water — its movement, light and presence — inviting reflection on our relationship with nature, memory and the deeper patterns that connect us.
